I use windows vista on my home pc, windows xp at school, mac at school media room and Kubuntu 9.04 Linux on my laptop. You may be thinking, what? Linux? He must be mad! The reality is, it don't matter anymore. The reason we all go for windows is because of the wealth of software available for it. Mac OS X is the media mogul when it comes to the it industry, and linux is for people who believe in free, open source, community-driven software. However, the os is now irrelevant. Why, because of the internet. Nowadays, we don't require software that only works on windows, we just need a web browser. It doesn't matter if the website was written for anything, java works on any web browser, internet apps that are no frills and do the job perfectly exist for windows/mac/linux now. Open source software exists that are great (if not better) alternatives to proprietory software. WINE allows windows programs to run under linux and mac. KDE is dang slight better to look at than windows desktop. what would you choose? A $2000 mac, windows vista home premium for 200, or Ubuntu 9.04 for free? Arigatou, Sayonara -HandOfDarkness444
